I first joined Bartsch Law as an intern during my second year of law school in 2013. It was during my internship that my interest for estate planning, trust, and probate law grew. I then decided to devote my career to minimizing family conflict by helping individuals preserve their estates as well as protect the wishes of those who eventually cannot speak for themselves. That is why I returned to Bartsch Law as an attorney in January 2017.
Prior to joining Bartsch Law, I worked as an Estate and Trust Manager at a public accounting firm where I advised high net worth families with tax planning, estate and gift tax compliance, business succession planning, and tax controversy matters.
During law school, knowing I wanted to work with families in estate planning, I served as a judicial extern to the Honorable John Sugiyama at the Contra Costa County Probate Court and the Honorable Linda Colfax at the San Francisco Unified Family Court. In the classroom, I focused on estate planning and taxation courses. I earned an LLM in Taxation with honors as well as my law degree from Golden Gate University.
Before law school, I worked in film and video production. I studied cinematography at San Francisco State University and worked on various independent films shot in the Bay Area. I still appreciate the art of film today and enjoy watching great movies.
I live in Piedmont with my husband and children. I love to travel and I enjoy snowboarding, camping, and attending Giants and Warriors games.
